Back at the depot, live exception reporting tracks and monitors gritters in real-time, alerting the depot if a driver stops for any length of time or deviates from a route, providing an added layer of reassurance that your gritter drivers are safe.

All tracking data is archived within the software for 21 years, longer than any other provider on the market, and can be used to prove in legal proceedings that the gritter actually treated defined sections of the road, at the correct salting settings against designated routes.

The site provides the public with a convenient place to access information about the treatment of their local roads. Live tracking data from gritting vehicles is sent to the ‘Where is my Gritter?’ web portal via an API*, allowing the public to watch in real time as gritting vehicles make their way around their designated gritting routes.
This is especially engaging if the gritting fleet has been named by the public!
As well as offering a best practice way to deliver service information, the site reduces administration, as local authorities can link to it from their website or social media accounts, rather than having to repeat the same information across many different channels.
